Karanjit Singh is a photographer, currently studying in the Department of Photography and Imaging at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Born and raised in India, his interest in documentary photography first started after he discovered a box full of old negatives and photographs in his grandfather’s cupboard in 2010. Coming from a background of social activists, he wanted to tell stories that empowered people and gave voice to the voiceless. He is currently working on photographing the exiled Tibetan diaspora and its struggle for independence.

Karanjit is available for local and international assignments. Currently in New York City.
